So, I just finished reading the Hunger games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. A must read for all! The Hunger games is the first one and I couldnt put it down. The second was catching fire, and the 3rd book; just out on 8/24 The mockingjay. They are a set of books that keep you rivited and hooked until the very end. It shows you the sacrafice and will power that young people hold and the brutal sides of a war driven world.
In a post apocalyptic America, a world rises from the ashes. 12 districts and the Capital. After the dark days (13th district was destroyed as a example of all) The capital forces the names of all children between the ages of 12 and 18 to go into a drawing where once a year they are drawn.. one boy and one girl to be a part of the Hunger games. A televised sport where the children must fight to the death and the last one standing is the Victor and they will have wealth beyond their dreams. When Katniss volunteers to go in the place of her 12 year old sister, she is thrown into a world she has never known and will not soon forget.
